White-label marketing platforms for agencies — the 2026 buyer's guide
Agencies have always wanted white-label tools. Most vendors offer a watered-down version. Here's what white-label actually should mean — and how the major platforms stack up.
Agencies have always wanted white-label tools. Most vendors offer a watered-down version. Here's what white-label actually should mean — and how the major platforms stack up.
What white-label means (the real version)
True white-label has four dimensions:
- Domain: Your client logs into reports.youragency.com, not vendor.com.
- Branding: Your logo, your colors, your typography, no vendor branding anywhere.
- Sender identity: Emails come from yourdomain.com (not vendor-domain.com).
- Support: Your client never knows there's a vendor behind the curtain.
Most platforms offer dimensions 2 and 3 but skip 1 and 4. That's "light white-label" — fine for some agencies, deal-breaking for others.
The category landscape
Agency-only platforms
Built specifically for white-label resale. Examples: HighLevel (GoHighLevel), Vendasta, Sendible Agency. These have the deepest white-label but often lack feature depth in any single module.
SaaS platforms with white-label tiers
Standard SaaS that adds a white-label tier on top. Examples: Conduit (Atelier), Buffer (Agency), Hootsuite (Enterprise), AgencyAnalytics. White-label is real but typically more expensive than the agency-only platforms.
Open-source / self-hosted
Run the platform on your own infrastructure with your own brand. Examples: Mautic, n8n, self-hosted Conduit. Highest control, requires technical operations.

The white-label decision framework
Question 1: Are you reselling, or just using a white-labeled tool?
Reselling = your clients pay you, you deliver them "your product", they never know it's vendor-powered. This requires the deepest white-label (HighLevel, Conduit Atelier, or self-hosted).
Just using = your clients see your dashboards but know you use vendor tools. This is fine with light white-label (Buffer Agency, AgencyAnalytics, most SaaS).
Question 2: How important is custom domain?
If your clients log into reports.youragency.com, you need real custom-domain support (CNAME setup). Some vendors fake this with a vanity subdomain (e.g. youragency.somevendor.com) which is not the same.
Question 3: Per-client sender domains?
If you run cold email on behalf of clients, you want per-client sender domains so client A's deliverability doesn't affect client B. Conduit, HighLevel, and self-hosted support this. Most SaaS doesn't.
Question 4: White-label support?
When a client has an issue, do they email support@youragency.com or support@vendor.com? If the former, you need a vendor that supports white-label support routing (usually a shared inbox or ticket forwarding).
Where Conduit fits
Conduit Atelier ($997/mo) is built for agencies that want true white-label without the HighLevel-style "builder" complexity. You get:
- Custom domain via CNAME (reports.youragency.com)
- Per-client subdomains (clienta.youragency.com)
- Per-client sender domains (sender@clienta-domain.com)
- Custom branding (logo, colors, email templates)
- White-label support (your support email gets the ticket; we escalate as needed)
- Reseller capability (your clients can have their own sub-clients with sub-sub-branding)
Where HighLevel fits
HighLevel is the most aggressive white-label vendor in the space. They're built explicitly for agencies that want to resell "their own" marketing platform. Their pricing ($497/mo for Agency Pro) is competitive, but their UX is dated and feature depth is uneven.
If your agency's entire business model is reselling white-labeled software and you don't care about feature polish, HighLevel is the option. If you're using marketing tools to deliver agency services (not reselling), Conduit Atelier is the better fit.
Self-hosted: the deepest control
Conduit Atelier's self-hosted option lets you run the entire platform on your own AWS / GCP / Azure account, with your own domain, your own database, your own SES sender pool. This is the deepest possible white-label — the platform literally lives on your infrastructure.
Trade-offs:
- Higher operating overhead (you maintain the deployment)
- Onboarding takes 2-4 weeks instead of 2-4 days
- You handle scaling, backups, security updates
- You can customize the source where needed
Self-hosted is right for agencies with internal DevOps capability + a multi-year horizon. Atelier-managed is right for agencies that want white-label without operating overhead.
What to ask before signing
If you're evaluating a white-label platform, get firm answers on:
- Can I run reports.myagency.com via CNAME? (If not, fake white-label)
- Can my clients log in directly without seeing your brand anywhere?
- If a client emails support, who handles it?
- If I cancel, what happens to client data?
- Can I add per-client billing through Stripe Connect / similar?
- Can my clients have their own sub-clients (reseller chain)?
- What does the migration off look like? (Avoid lock-in)
Bottom line
True white-label is more than custom CSS. Pick a vendor based on which dimensions of white-label matter most for your agency's model. For deep white-label without HighLevel's UX issues, Conduit Atelier is our recommendation. For deepest control, self-hosted Conduit.
